On Friday November 28, Giants star wide receiver and super bowl hero, Plaxico Burress, shot himself in the leg. He was visiting a night club when he accidentally fired the gun into his right thigh.
Plaxico has a permit for a concealed weapon from the state of Florida, however the permit had been expired. Burress was already ruled out of the upcoming game against the Redskins prior to the accident.
The incident could involve law officials and the NFL will look into whether or not Plaxico needs to be fined or suspended for violating the NFL's conduct policy.
Now I realize this whole ordeal is bad for Giants fans and Plaxico, but if you can figure out a way to shoot yourself in the leg, whether it be by terrible aim or pretending to be cool with a gun, you probably deserve the wound. Honestly how can you shoot yourself in the leg? More than likely he wasn't paying attention to what he was doing. He was in a nightclub so, perhaps he was drinking and started playing with his gun.
At this point I will give Plaxico the benefit of the doubt and say the gun fired inside his jacket into his leg.
Whether this is true or not anyone shooting themselves in the leg is an immediate face palm from me!
